Principal's Welcome

Principal's Welcome

It is a privilege to be able to join the new high school for Gledswood Hills and Gregory Hills school community ahead of its opening next year.

As Principal of Gledswood Hills High School, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to our school. As we establish our new foundation high school, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we will build a school community grounded in inclusivity, respect, and academic excellence.

Throughout my 25-year career in education, I have been committed to promoting equity and excellence within public education, with a dedicated focus on leading impactful school improvements that enhanced student outcomes and enriched the overall educational experience. To date I have led school improvement in three schools. This includes Co-Principal at Merrylands High School (2012 to 2015) and principal roles at Canterbury Boys High School (2016 – mid 2018) and Prairiewood High School (2018-2024). This includes an achievement of 80th in the state in the 2021 HSC.

Gledswood Hills High School will firstly be established as a purpose built temporary high school and will accommodate up to 150 Year 7 students in 2025. It will be located alongside Gregory Hills Public School. I look forward to connecting with Gregory Hills and Gledswood Hills Public Schools on primary to high school transition, enriching continuity of learning for our children.

To our students: Welcome! You are the heartbeat of our school, and I look forward to seeing you fill our halls with your enthusiasm, curiosity, and energy for learning. This is your place to grow, explore, and achieve great things.

To our parents and community members: Your support and involvement are integral to our success. Together, we will create an environment where every student feels valued and inspired to excel. The buzz of learning and the excitement of new beginnings are palpable as we establish our school's identity and culture.

I look forward to working together towards our shared goals.

Warm regards,

Ms Belinda Giudice
